I contribute stock photography to a few different websites, one of which is Lightstock – a company that seeks to provide cheesy-free (thank God) Christian stock to designers and videographers. I currently have 57 photos and 50 video clips live on my account, with 28 videos and 62 photos awaiting approval from Lightstock's curators. Among the photos being curated are the pictures your about to see.
I have spent the last few days carrying a small wooden cross around and snapping photos of it against various backgrounds and landscapes. I tried to get some busier shots with tons of detail as well as a few with some negative space so that designers can easily add text or other elements.
To say exploring downtown Redlands for this shoot was a blast would be an understatement.
Our model was Sarah, a high school senior preparing to graduate in June of this year.
She has such an excellent personality and our shoot was filled with lots of laughter and smiles.
What better way to spend a warm, sunny Saturday in April than to get out the camera?
I had a blast photographing this beautiful family at a local park this past weekend, and I couldn't be happier with how the shoot came out.
The park we were shooting at had these beautiful hilly areas and tall thin trees, so I knew I'd want to get some wide shots. I loaded up my Panasonic Lumix GH4, my 20mm lens, and a couple bottles of bubbles from Party City (which the girls were certainly excited about), and drove down to the park.
The weather was on our side, with clear skies and a gentle breeze that added some nice motion to each shot. And, of course, it always helps when you have a good looking family to photograph as well!

Client: Awake America
Location: Sacramento, CA
Camera: Canon C100
In February, I was asked by a group called Awake America to document a two-day event located in and around the Capitol Building in Sacramento. During the event, Independent Baptist pastors and church members from across the state gathered to meet with their government officials, including numerous senators and assemblymen.
The Canon C100, with it's impressive lowlight ability and lengthy battery life, proved extremely beneficial when capturing large amounts footage in the dimly lit rooms and offices located within the Capitol. It was an absolute workhorse. This shoot would have been near impossible with a basic DSLR.
I wish weather had been better so I could have gotten a few more exterior shots around Sacramento, but in the end, I love how the video turned out.
Location: San Bernardino County, CA
Camera: Panasonic DMC-GH4
My wife's cousin welcomed a beautiful little girl into the world last month, and we were honored to visit with him and his family at the hospital after the delivery.
Of course, I came with camera in hand, because what could be cuter than a newborn baby?
Client: Cover My Heart
Location: Riverside, CA
Camera: Panasonic DMC-GH4
I was recently hired to shoot some product photos for Cover My Heart, a company which creates practical yet stylish breastfeeding covers for nursing moms. We had originally scheduled to shoot at a park in Corona, but last minute rain moved our shoot to Riverside. Ultimately, we ended up shooting at the Mission Inn, and it turned out to be a far better location than we had originally planned.
Sometime's bad weather can work for you.
